OIL OF OREGANO

The wild oregano plants are harvested in June and July, left to dry for 1-2 days, and then transferred to a special extractor unit. The oil is obtained from the dried leaves and flowers of the herb by steam extraction using a special technology. It takes 1000 kg of the desiccated herb to produce 15 - 30 kg of the essential oil.
The oil is then blended with organic, 1st pressing, extra virgin olive oil in the ratio of 40% oregano and 60% olive oil. This is necessary as pure Oil of Oregano is too harsh to consume orally, and can cause burning of the skin if applied topically. The oil blend is filled into 30 ml amber glass bottles with a sterile dropper cap.
Throughout the ages, Oil of Oregano has been used for a wide range of medicinal purposes and its origins can be traced as far back as Babylonia, 3000 BC. In Greek, oreganos means "delight of the mountains" and the Greeks considered oregano as the premier medicinal plant.
Oil of Oregano is the premier natural antiseptic and possesses a wide range of microbial killing powers. Unlike antibiotics, there is no known tendency for development of microbial resistance. Oil of Oregano can kill or block growth of virtually any fungus as well as inhibiting growth of the majority of bacteria. Of the 30 or more active compounds identified in Oil of Oregano, carvacol and thymol are the most active and they work together with synergistic effect to produce powerful antiseptic properties.

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:
certified organic Olive oil* *A blend of 60% organic Olive oil & 40% solvent-free steam distilled wildcrafted Mediterranean Oregano oil.
30ml - Place 2 drops under the tongue, 3 times daily. (may be diluted with water or juice if necessary).
Topically
Apply liberally to affected and surrounding area and massage in. Apply once or twice a day as needed. When using a bandage, increase the quantity of oil to allow for the absorbency of the bandage.
Antiseptic
Add a few drops to liquid soaps and shampoos to enhance their antimicrobial activity. Can also be added to cleaning cloths to wipe down kitchen and bathroom countertops.
Cooking
Add one or two drops to enhance the flavour of many foods.
