Mr. Barrie Carlsen, with over 29 years of experience in the Vitamin and Dietary Food Supplement Industry, is the founder and former President and C.E.O. of Quest Vitamin Supplies Ltd. (Quest). From its inception in 1976, Quest grew into a major manufacturer and distributor of premium quality vitamin supplements. In 1983, Mr. Carlsen formed Quest Vitamins (UK) Ltd. as a 60% controlled subsidiary of Quest. At the time of its sale (Jan.1993) to Boehringer-Ingelheim, a German pharmaceutical giant, Quest boasted a product line of over 200 vitamin and dietary supplements. Quest has continued to grow, and the majority of the products developed by Mr. Carlsen are still market leaders. Barrie formed Enerex Botanicals Ltd. in September 1997 with the intention of bringing to the market the highest quality and scientifically based nutritional supplements possible. Mr. Carlsen is contributing editor of The Nutrition Digest of Essential Nutrients. Mr. Carlsen was recently inducted into the Canadian Health Food Association's Pioneer's Hall of Fame for his contributions to the industry over the past 20 years.  Mr. Carlsen is involved in all aspects of the company including product development, quality control, sales and marketing.
